Circa 16 Sound Recording, as a studio, a member of the local music community, a small business, and a creative hub in Dumfries and Galloway, has thought long and hard about how best to help and support the musical community around us after the overwhelming impact of COVID-19.

As a result, we've decided to introduce "MIX TAPE", a project which devotes time to recording six singles, for six different artistes, completely free of charge. The studio will allocate a producer to each project, and cover all production costs, to give you a high quality, professional recording at the end of the process, offering as much expert guidance as you need along the way. All you need, is to have written a song!

The project is open to artistes of all ages, genres, line-ups (solo singer-songwriters, to bands, to large ensembles) and career stages, based in Scotland. The project will be delivered at the studio here in Dumfries, or using remote equipment, depending on guidance at the time.
